Photo Shoot!
I recently did an art photo shoot in and around my studio. The idea was to get some good shots of me with my art that I can use on my website and in art submissions. I know if I can put a face with a name, it makes a big difference in how well I identify with a person, whether I've met them or not.
Here are a few photos taken from inside my studio:

This is from my studio space looking into Bud's studio space. I share a large room with two other artists at the Lee Arts Center. We each have a space taped off so we can leave everything set up, and also have a couple of projects going on at once.

The painting here is 'Enter the Orchids.' This piece had a lot of fine detail work. I often place my pinky finger like you see here to steady my hand.

I love using bright colors. This palette is pretty typical of the kinds of colors I use.

Me with three of my most recent pieces from my Dance of Life series (from top to bottom): 'Enter the Orchids,' 'Flutter,' and 'Tropical Whirl.'
And here are a few photos taken outside.

I often look pretty serious when I'm painting, but I feel more like this photo. And I love being out in nature!

I might do another photo shoot in a few months; this one was a lot of fun and I feel like I got some great results. Keep in touch and thanks for looking!
